Hi, I'm Gregory Conor, a first-time novelist. My debut, A Bridge for the City, is a completed literary crime manuscript about the technology sector’s dark heart and the cost of transformation in 21st-century San Francisco.  Read on for more about me and the book!

Before A Bridge for the City...

My career to date includes experience in legal/professional services (where I’ve done enough hard time to have my character sufficiently built), the wine industry (where I’ve done enough soft time to remain cheerful), and entrepreneurial adventures (which helped me conquer my fear of roller coasters, but not clowns).  Before writing  A Bridge for the City, I distributed a weekly wine blog for several years and wrote and co-hosted 50 episodes of a weekly podcast on health and wellness.  These days, I'm writing a bimonthly Substack column about, and to, San Francisco -- you can subscribe for free at substack.com/@gregoryconor -- and engaging with the Bay Area literary community.

I grew up in Providence, RI, and graduated from Stanford with degrees in English and Classics (Greek and Latin).  I live in northern California and harbor dreams of living part-time in a few other spots on the planet I've come to love.  In addition to travel, my passions include cooking and, unsurprisingly, reading.  On any given day, you can find me haunting bookstores and coffee shops in San Francisco and beyond.
